As a photographer, I often get asked why it's important to have yearly family photos taken. The answer is simple: because time moves so quickly, and you can't trust your own family's selfie game.
Think about it: one year can feel like a lifetime for a child. They grow and change at an incredible rate, and before you know it, they're all grown up. That's why it's so important to document their growth and development through the years with family photos. (And let's be real, no one wants to look back on a family album filled with blurry, poorly lit selfies.)
But it's not just about the kids. As adults, we change and grow too. We get new jobs, move to new houses, and add new members to our families. All of these life events are worth documenting and preserving for future generations to look back on.
In addition to documenting the changes and milestones in our lives, yearly family photos are also a great way to celebrate the love and connection within a family. These photos serve as a reminder of the special bond that exists between family members, and they can bring joy and happiness to those who look back on them.
Another reason to have yearly family photos taken is to create a visual timeline of your family's history. These photos can serve as a reference point for future generations, helping them to understand and appreciate their family's unique story.
So if you haven't had a family photo session in a while, don't wait any longer. Contact me and schedule a session today. I am booking into Spring 2023.
Trust me, you won't regret it. The memories and keepsakes that you'll create will be treasured for a lifetime.
Here are a few of my favorites taken in 2022!

I am so thrilled to introduce Khloe Sofia, the daughter of my best girlfriend Jenn!!! Khloe was born September 6th 2012 and is officially my sweet Emersen's girlfriend for life :-)
Jenn and I met almost 12 years ago on the elliptical at the gym. We starting talking while we were both working out and have not stopped talking to this day!
While Jenn was pregnant, she asked me to be the God Mother of her precious baby girl!!! I was so honored that I just cried!!! My new title, which I am still trying to pronounce properly is "Madrinha", portuguese for God Mother. Not only will this little girl be totally spoiled by me but she will also have thousands of pictures by me by the time she turns 1!
Here are my two favorite images from Khloe’s first official photo shoot last Monday!
]]>September is always a hard month... Especially for teachers! I never truly enjoyed a September, ever. Yes, its still warm and feels like summer but there is always that crispness in the air at night that reminds you that its also the beginning of a new season... September was always a month of anxiety. Either I was a student in school, or now that I am a teacher myself... I find that I always just dread this particular month!
When I had Emersen last August, I had the opportunity to take a long maternity leave. I took the entire school year off and basically lived like a stay at home mom! Something that I always wanted but knew I never would be able to. How many of you like September? Dread it like I do? Any month that you particularly do not care for? I just wanted to share with you all the sweet precious face that I day dream about all day long while I am at work!!!
